All the pieces are cut for the borders and connecting squares. I decided to use the fabric from the middle block also for the squares. It is so cool to watch this slowly but surely come together. It’s so cute how my guys at the shelter check on the progress every morning when they get up!

Holy Crow! You’re hand-piecing?!
You are SUCH a better woman than I am. Hell, you’re practically a Pioneer woman if you can match corners by hand!
Kudos! Bravo!

@CityGirl, Naaahhh, it’s a lot easier than it looks! You could do it no problem!
PS – What size are the block? They look tiny…or else the labels are just pretty big.
GAH. I can’t believe you’re doing that by hand!
Am totally overwhelmingly impressed. :)

@CityGirl, They’re 12″x12″ + 1/4″ seam allowance all around. I use 1/4″ wide masking tape and put it on the edges while I’m sewing to keep my seam allowance even and my stitches straight. The borders are 4″wide.
Ahhh, thanks for the compliment but maybe you’re easily impressed?! It’s a lot easier than it looks!
